2022-23 Impact Report

Learn how giving through the Comox Valley Community Foundation is advancing essential projects, programs, and services that may otherwise have been unsupported — making a difference today and for the long term.

2022/23 was another year of immense impact at the Comox Valley Community Foundation. We are proud to share our latest Impact Report, announcing 73 Comox Valley nonprofit organizations that have received more than $757,456 in immediate funding to support critical programs and services this past year.

Thanks to the generosity of countless community members and local businesses, we are proud to have been able to invest in these organizations whose services and programs bridge gaps, reduce inequities, and advance solutions to our community’s most pressing challenges, making our valley stronger.

In this report you’ll find:

  • Who- The 73 local organizations that fall under our granting priorities based on our community’s current and most immediate needs. From environmental groups focusing on water monitoring and watershed health and Indigenous-led or benefiting organizations that promote First Nations community wellness to the many organizations that are working hard to address housing insecurity, as well as groups who are providing support and programming in the areas of mental health and connection, food security, adults with diverse abilities, and arts, culture, and heritage.
  • What- A glanceable overview of the Foundation’s transactional activities by the numbers.
  • Where- Discover where the impact was felt in our community by cause category in relation to total disbursements.
